    Toughened Glass

    Piperglass are a manufacturer of toughened glass who have catered to the commercial market for over 50 years. We utilise state of the art furnaces in order to toughen a vast range of smaller sized products.

    Toughened glass is preferable to non-toughened glass in a multitude of ways, and is notable for it's durability and it's superior safety.

    • It is 4-6 times stronger than non-toughened glass
    • It can withstand a maximum working temperature of 300 deg. C.
    • It fragments into small parts when broken instead of sharp shards, thus causing less injury.

    Our CNC edge profiling completes the edgework stage of our glass processing prior to toughening. Our facilities and expertise enable us to produce high quality and accurate shaped glass in thicknesses ranging from 2-19mm.

    We also offer water jet cutting facilities that are suitable for designs requiring more intricate and complex shapes.

    Piperglass boast a vast wealth of experience in producing high quality precision glass components that are used in a wide range of applications. Our facilities allow us to produce glass to a fine tolerance with a choice of edgework including:

    Silk Screening

    Silk Screening

    Piperglass are also able to offer a Silk Screening service where the customer's personal artwork and film can be incorporated into the design process prior to toughening in order to give a tailor-made finish. We can silk screen any pattern or logo in any colour onto the desired glass.

    This facility is offered on minimum batches of 50 no.
